Over the past few years, SCB Marketing also has grown to encompass a family of highly targeted niche publications, an array of Internet services and capabilities, a wealth of custom publishing opportunities, the area’s most talked about signature events, as well as consulting, training and business branding services.

History
Space Coast Business, LLC was founded in January 2006 by Josh Field and Jeff Piersall to create a cooperative and unbiased forum for local business leaders and organizations to share the best practices in business. By 2007, the company surpassed $1 million in revenue and was firmly entrenched in the business community and recognized by many as one of the most influential voices in the area.
To further strengthen our position in the marketplace and provide greater value for our marketing partners, SCB acquired SpaceCoast Living magazine – the premier lifestyle publication and today the #1 read magazine in Brevard County – in November 2007. In addition, SCB published its first edition of Discover Brevard magazine, an annual publication designed to help businesses recruit and retain workers and visitors to the Space Coast, in December 2007. And in 2010, we introduced SpaceCoast Living HEALTH, which in its first year of publication became the area’s #2 read magazine.
Despite the economic challenges faced by businesses and the nation over the past few years, Company revenue has continued to grow behind the popularity of our products and services, as well as the positive results our marketing partners were achieving. We moved into our current corporate offices in the Suntree area of Brevard County in 2008, where we invested heavily in company infrastructure, systems and personnel.
The Company has received its fair share of recognition and accolades including being named “Business of the Year” by the local chambers of commerce in 2008, 2009 and 2010, as well as being recognized as one of the inaugural “Florida Companies to Watch” by GrowFL, the Florida Economic Gardening Institute at the University of Central Florida and ACG Florida, in association with the Edward Lowe Foundation in 2011.
Today & Tomorrow
Today, SCB Marketing boasts a staff of 20+ dedicated team members who are here to serve our growing base of partners. We are the largest locally-owned and operated media/marketing company in Brevard County, with print products alone reaching an audited readership of over 200,000 local adults.
As we look the future, we continue to grow our presence in non-print vehicles such as online, social media, mobile applications and other efficient and quick avenues for sharing valuable content. But despite the ever-changing media landscape, our ultimate goal remains the same – to help our partners achieve their marketing objectives, thus improving the overall quality of life in the markets and communities in which we proudly serve.
